Frank F. Fernandez, III, was born in Tampa, Florida, on March 11, 1967. He is a shareholder and the managing partner of The Fernandez Firm. Prior to establishing the firm, Mr. Fernandez was a partner with the law firm of Morgan, Colling & Gilbert from 1997 to 2001. At Morgan, Colling & Gilbert, Mr. Fernandez handled all types of personal injury, wrongful death and premise liability claims. During his last 3 years with the Morgan firm, Mr. Fernandez specialized in prosecuting nursing home abuse cases and, in 2000, was the leading fee-earning attorney in the sixty-seven lawyer firm with case settlements totaling in excess of 5.3 million dollars. In 2001, Mr. Fernandez co-founded the law firm of Petosa and Fernandez, with offices in Tampa and Boca Raton. In 2002, Mr. Fernandez founded what is now The Fernandez Firm. Mr. Fernandez is an active member of the following professional organizations: The Florida Bar; The Hillsborough County Bar; The Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association; The Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers; and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America. In his involvement with AFTL, he has been both a FLAG and EAGLE Program Sponsor and received the 2003 Bronze EAGLE Award.
