St. Petersburg, FL (April 24th) – On the afternoon of Friday, April 25th, a driver on Fourth Street N died from injuries incurred in a single-vehicle crash.
The crash occurred in the 6700 block of Fourth Street N in St. Petersburg, FL around 5:23 p.m. The man was reported to be driving a 2015 Ford F150, traveling north. The vehicle then departed from the roadway, moving east. Before coming to a stop, the truck collided with an above-ground water pipe, a tree, a sign for a local motel, a clothing donation box, and a city dumpster. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
The driver was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg after the crash, where he died from his injuries. The St. Petersburg Police Department reported that the driver had likely had a medical episode while he was behind the wheel, causing the incident.
